Havana

Drawing inspiration from the geometric shapes of the 50s and 60s, the old-fashioned Havana is a retro style armchair with splayed legs with polished tips and gently sloped, l-shaped winged arms. The high back and welcoming armrests make for a perfect reading chair, as well as a fireside piece. Designed by Giuseppe Manzoni, it exudes a modernist aesthetic inspired by a precise mid-century stylistic movement. The result is an elegant lounge chair with a stylish club-style look, a sculptural presence for refined living rooms. The upholstery comes in fabric, velvet or leather. Well-made upholstery is the mark of a luxury item. it requires skilled upholsterers, selected materials and time to create such a tight-fitting effect on all sides of the structure. The legs, the armrests structure, the protruding backrest, the seat cushion: all is neatly covered and perfectly finished off. More informal in fabric, it takes on a glamorous allure in velvet, but it’s leather to offer the perfect match for this 1960s inspired armchair. Black and brown will add a vintage appearance, while blue, orange or green will define an accent piece with a pop-art twist. The Havana collection includes three models of living room armchairs: the high back Bergere, the low back Lounge and the narrower Small. The Bergère can be completed by a matching footstool.
